Buckingham Pools have completed the construction of a pool and wellness suite for the UK’s first net-zero retirement community, Millfield Green, in Caddington. This £120m project over four phases, delivered by Inspired Villages, Legal & General’s developer and operator of later living homes, marks a significant milestone in sustainable living.

Buckingham Pools, a trusted leader in the Pool and Spa industry, was commissioned to meticulously Design and Build a contemporary level-deck indoor swimming pool with an integrated spa and fully tiled steam room. At 16.80 x 6.7m, the swimming pool features infinity overflow edges and an air pad, back massage jets, and calf massage jets within the spa area, offering residents a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The pool’s cutting-edge plant room equipment includes a state-of-the-art filtration system and highly reliable Euroswim booster pumps, ensuring optimal performance and water quality. Our commitment to impeccable standards is also reflected in the finishes, including special-cut porcelain tiles and iridescent glass mosaics, enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal of the wellness suite. Our design responds to the surrounding landscape and the larger development to maximise views into, out of, and through the space for all residents to enjoy the benefit of this picturesque site.
