Buckingham Pools are pleased to announce the completion of a stunning private swim spa installation at a beautiful farmhouse in Kettering, Northamptonshire. Appointed by the homeowner, Buckingham Pools was tasked with creating a bespoke swim spa that would complement the property’s new wellness features and provide a luxurious private retreat for relaxation and fitness. 

At the heart of the wellness experience is a state-of-the-art swim spa, designed to offer both leisure and exercise in one versatile space. Measuring 7.46m by 4.16m, the pool features a GRP and tiled shell that provides a durable and aesthetically pleasing finish. Equipped with a counter-current jet system, the spa is perfect for those seeking a challenging swim or an effective water workout. Counter-current jets allow swimmers to swim against the current, offering an excellent cardiovascular workout without needing a large pool space. In addition, it boasts 52 massage jets and an air blower, providing a range of therapeutic benefits. Two massage seats are strategically placed to target key areas such as the back and legs, offering soothing relief after exercise or a long day.

The swim spa operates with an advanced filtration and water treatment system, guaranteeing exceptional water quality and minimal maintenance. Inside the plant room, top-of-the-line equipment is utilised, including a Bowman heat exchanger for efficient heating and a chemical erosion feeder that maintains optimal water balance. A UV treatment system ensures effective disinfection, while Certikin filters and filtration pumps work seamlessly together to maintain crystal-clear water, reducing the need for excessive chemical treatments.

The homeowner expresses: “During lockdown of 2021, we embarked on a project of building a spa in our home. It was a very unique, ambitious, and technically innovative project. When it came to the swim pool, Buckingham Pools revelled in the challenge. They came out to visit us, and we gave them the brief of what we wanted. They went away and managed to come up with a design that exceeded our expectations. Their employees were very professional, and we got the impression they enjoyed the project because of its uniqueness. So far to date, we have had many hours of R&R in the pool and spa, along with many members of our friends and family. Long may it continue!”
